My philosophy is rooted in creating a refined environment where you feel free to be entirely yourselves. Photography is most powerful when it feels effortless. I prioritize the atmosphere of the day as much as the images themselves, ensuring you stay immersed in the luxury of the moment. By the time the celebration concludes, my hope is that you don't just remember being photographed you remember how it felt to be truly present. I am constantly evolving my style to meet the uniqueness of every couple, yet the core of my approach remains constant: creating a space of intimacy and ease.

My background as a contemporary dancer really shaped how I see the world; I’m naturally drawn to movement, the way people carry themselves, and the flow of a room. I’m also a huge fan of cinema and the classic feel of film photography. For me, inspiration comes from the small things how a specific song changes the mood or how the light hits at the end of the day. It’s about more than just a pretty picture; it’s about catching those unscripted, fleeting moments of energy that make your wedding feel entirely yours.
I see my role as an intentional observer. While I have a background in fine art and I’m always thinking about the technical side of a shot, my main priority is staying grounded and calm for you. I’m not there to take over or turn your wedding into a production. I’m there to watch the day unfold and filter all that emotion into a curated collection of photos that truly feel like you, allowing you to simply stay in the moment while I handle the rest.

I’ve always appreciated things that have a bit of soul and history. On a day off, you’ll likely find me exploring old architecture with my dogs or hunting down a great espresso in a new city. I’m an explorer at heart; I love getting lost in a new place with my camera, doing street photography and observing the rhythm of local life.
I value the slow pace of a long dinner with friends, the feel of a well-made art book, and just a good, honest conversation. I find that I look for these same meaningful details when I’m documenting a wedding—the small, honest touches that tell the real story of your celebration. @softly.told is where I go to experiment and stay sharp for the weddings I’m lucky enough to document.
The simple luxuries.
My connection to photography started long before I made it my profession. I learned the art of film as a young girl from my father, developing an early appreciation for the tangible nature of a photograph. Though life took me in other directions, that foundation remained. When I eventually returned to the camera, it wasn't just a spark it was a homecoming. I realized that my eye for detail and movement, refined through years of dance, had finally found its medium.
I understand that for many, being in front of a lens can feel vulnerable. I know those "camera jitters" well, which is why my approach is never about chasing a forced version of perfection. I’m drawn to the quiet, in-between moments: a glance, a pause, or the "perfectly imperfect" softness that isn't staged.
When I’m not documenting weddings, I’m likely exploring with my two dogs. I have a soft spot for couples who want their pets involved in their celebration. I’ve even acted as a "dog chaperone" to ensure four-legged family members are part of the big day. Today, that passion for storytelling has become a family affair; my daughter has joined, as my second shooter, bringing her own fresh perspective to the legacies we capture together.
